Services offered

• Carers Support Group - Ings
  Monthly Lunch Club for people with Dementia and Carers - meeting for lunch and chat at the Watermill Inn, Ings Nr Windermere. Meets every 2nd Monday of the month from 12 noon.
• Dementia Advice Service - South Lakes
  Dementia Advice service providing an information, advice and signposting service to people who have recently received a diagnosis of dementia and thereafter at various stages throughout the dementia journey. The aim of the service is to help people with dementia to take control of their lives so they are able to live well with dementia.
• Dementia Support Service - South Lakes
  Dementia Support service providing advice, information and support for people with a diagnosis of dementia, their carers and family. One-to-one support provided over the telephone, at home or at another suitable venue. Support workers will take self-referrals, referrals from other Society services and health and social care professionals. In turn Support workers can also refer and signpost to other Society and non-Society services as required.

• Memory Cafe - Arnside
  A monthly Memory Cafe for people with dementia and their carers, providing information along side emotional and practical support and an opportunity for social interaction. Takes place every 3rd Tuesday of the month between 10.30 - 12 noon at the Arnside Educational Institute.
• Memory Cafe - Kendal
  A monthly Memory Cafe for people with dementia and their carers, providing information along side emotional and practical support and an opportunity for social interaction. Takes place every 4th Tuesday of the month between 10.30 and 12.30 in the Lonsdale Suite at the Leisure Centre, in Kendal
• Memory Cafe - Lindale, Grange
  A monthly Memory Cafe for people with dementia and their carers, providing information along side emotional and practical support and an opportunity for social interaction. Takes place every 2nd Thursday of the month between 2.00 and 3.30 at the Lindale Village Hall Grange over Sands
• Singing for the Brain - Kendal
  Singing for the Brain is designed to be a fun, stimulating and social activity for people in the early to moderate stages of dementia and their carers. The group meets every Wednesday between 1.15pm and 3.15pm at the Quaker Friends Meeting House, Stramongate Kendal Cumbria LA9 4BH. There is a small charge of £2.50 per person.
