Services offered

  • Dementia Advice Service - Eden & Keswick
    Dementia Support service providing advice, information and support for people with a diagnosis of dementia, their carers and family. One-to-one support provided over the telephone, at home or at another suitable venue. Support workers will take self-referrals, referrals from other Society services and health and social care professionals. In turn Support workers can also refer and signpost to other Society and non-Society services as required.
  • Dementia Support Service - Eden & Keswick

  • Lunch Club - St Andrews, Penrith
    Monthly Lunch Club for people with Dementia and Carers - meeting for lunch and chat at the St Andrews Parish Rooms cafe, Penrith. Meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 12 noon to 1.30pm.
  • Peer Support Groups - Penrith
    A monthly support group for people with dementia and their carers, providing information along side emotional and practical support and an opportunity for social interaction. Takes place twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month between 1.30 and 3.30 at Alzheimers Society office Penrith
  • Singing for the Brain - Keswick
    Singing for the Brain is designed to be a fun, stimulating and social activity for people in the early to moderate stages of dementia and their carers. The group meets every Tuesday between 1.00pm and 3.00pm at the Quaker Friends Meeting House, Keswick. There is a small charge of £2.50 per person.
  • Singing for the Brain - Penrith
    Singing for the Brain is designed to be a fun, stimulating and social activity for people in the early to moderate stages of dementia and their carers. The group meets every Wednesday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm at the St Andrew's Parish Centre, Penrith. There is a small charge of £2.50 per person.
