- Dementia Advice Service - Furness
Dementia Advice service providing an information, advice and signposting service to people who have recently received a diagnosis of dementia and thereafter at various stages throughout the dementia journey. The aim of the service is to help people with dementia to take control of their lives so they are able to live well with dementia. - Dementia Support Service - Furness
Dementia Support service providing advice, information and support for people with a diagnosis of dementia, their carers and family. One-to-one support provided over the telephone, at home or at another suitable venue. Support workers will take self-referrals, referrals from other Society services and health and social care professionals. In turn Support workers can also refer and signpost to other Society and non-Society services as required. - Peer Support Group - Askam
A monthly Support Group for people with dementia and their carers, providing information along side emotional and practical support and an opportunity for social interaction. Takes place on the first Wednesday of the month between 1.30 and 3.30 at the Rankin Hall Askam in Furness - Peer Support Group - Ulverston

Takes place on the last Thursday of the month between 1.30 and 3.30 at the Ulverston Methodist Church Hall, Ulverston - Singing for the Brain - Barrow
Singing for the Brain is designed to be a fun, stimulating and social activity for people in the early to moderate stages of dementia and their carers. The group meets every Tuesday between 1.15pm and 3.15pm at Robin House 24 Nelson Street Barrow. There is a small charge of £2.50 per person.
