- Carer Support Group - Allerdale
To offer support, advice, information and social networking to people with dementia, their families and carers, ex-carers and other agency staff. Meets on the last Thursday of each month. - Dementia Advice Service - Allerdale
Information and signposting service for people with dementia and their carers linked in with local memory clinics and CMHTs - Dementia Advice Service - Copeland
Information and signposting for people with a diagnosis of dementia and their families and carers - Dementia Support Service - West Cumbria
One-to-one support for people with dementia, their carers, family and friends. The service offers emotional support, information, advice and signposting. - Healthy Living Group - Workington
The Healthy living group provides a peer support network to enable people to live well with Dementia. The session is led by a qualified instructor and includes 1 hour of armchair based exercise to maintain co-ordination, improve aerobic fitness and develop teamwork within a supportive and safe environment. The session is followed by light refreshments and social activities led by the group and volunteer such as music quizzes, reminiscence and general sharing of life experiences and friendship. There is also an opportunity to chat with a Dementia Support Worker. - Singing for the Brain - Workington
Weekly Singing for the Brain and Peer Support Group meeting every Tuesday between 1:30 and 3:30 at Helena Thompson Museum
