my grandfather recently passed away because of alzheimer's so i know what it feels like to have a loved one who suffers from this.
let's hope that there will soon be a cure so that no one else will have to suffer and no other families will have to go through what my family and i just went through.

my heart goes out to anyone coping with the disease and the familiies of loved ones diagnosed. I cannot imagine what you go through, you are the strongest, most incredible people there are. I have always wanted to support Alzheimer's charities once I left uni and could afford to and am just getting to the point where I can hopefully give a regular donation.
I wish there was more we could all do, research is coming on but we also need support for the carers.

My grandma had Alzheimers for 5 years and passed away on 17th December 2008 (a fortnight ago, yesterday). I'm running the 10K run in Manchester to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. Have a look on the website - there are various events, suitable for all abilities!
