LGBT Support and Advice

If you are a member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) community, there may be specific issues which you find challenging.
For example, people with dementia and carers may have to 'come out'; to many professionals - doctors, social workers, nursing home staff - who have become involved in what may previously have been a very private relationship. And while many people with dementia and carers tell us they feel isolated, this sense of isolation can be exacerbated by others when you lead a different lifestyle.
