Leap into Action
Take advantage of your extra day this Leap Year and do something extraordinary for Alzheimer's Society – a whole 24 hours to challenge yourself and raise funds to support people living with dementia and their families across Northern Ireland.
Working together we can continue to make a positive difference for families across the country on their difficult journey with dementia. Thank you for your truly outstanding support so far.
We hope the ideas in this toolkit will give you some ideas and inspiration of what you can do to support Alzheimer’s Society. We are here to help you every step of the way and can provide tips, advice, materials and general information to help make your fundraising a flying success.
How you can help ...
Leap Year Challenge
A leap year is the perfect opportunity to do something different. Challenge yourself to a sponsored cycle, run, trek or adrenaline event! Make the most of your extra day and spring out of your comfort zone – do something epic!!
Make Your Time Matter
Can you donate the equivalent of an hour’s pay from your Leap Day and make a difference for people living with dementia? Or you could organise a Leap Day themed bake sale, dress down day or store raffle for the charity to make the day really count.
Valentine's Day Quiz
Get your thinking hats on and take on our short Valentine’s Day Quiz (contact email@example.com for a copy). Ask colleagues to donate £1 to enter during their coffee break and offer a small prize to the winning entry.
Impress friends and colleagues by showing off your pancake flipping skills! Host your very own pancake party to celebrate the arrival of spring. Ask for a donation to join, make sure you have plenty of jams and spreads for the toppings!
40 Days Challenge
You and your colleagues could take on a sponsored forfeit challenge to give something up for Lent – chocolate, alcohol, social media?! Set up an Alzheimer’s Society Just Giving page to make it easy for colleagues, family and friends to sponsor you.
