Alzheimer’s Society responds to the death of Denise Robertson
Denise Robertson, TV agony aunt on ITV’s “This Morning” and Alzheimer’s Society supporter, has died today aged 83 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
In response to this sad news Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive of the Alzheimer’s Society said:
'We are very sad to hear that Denise Robertson has passed away following her short but determined battle with pancreatic cancer.
'Denise was a valued and committed supporter of Alzheimer’s Society and instrumental in helping us raise awareness about dementia. Most recently, she drummed up support for our flagship fundraising event Memory Walk in Tyneside, which was a huge draw to the 2,500 walkers who joined her on the day. She spoke openly and passionately about her desire for a world without dementia and we were privileged to have her support.
'Our deepest condolences go to Denise’s family, friends, colleagues and fans.'
