Meet our experts at The Alzheimer’s Show
Alzheimer’s Society is a proud partner of The Alzheimer’s Show and will be appearing at this year’s event in London on 9-10 June at Olympia.
Our team of dementia advisors will be on hand to provide help and advice on all aspects of living with dementia, including Our CEO Jeremy Hughes who will host a series of talks at the Alzheimer’s Matter Theatre on Friday 9th June in London, along with our ambassadors Angela Rippon and Hazel Blears.
One of the many key challenges faced by those living with dementia is knowing how to provide the right care for a loved one and how to plan for the future. Our experts are here to help. Alzheimer’s Society’s dementia advisors will be on hand to provide free 20-minute confidential consultations in a private setting to anyone concerned about living with dementia. Come along on a first-come first-served basis to our stand F10 in order to book your free slot, speak to one of our experts and ask questions in complete confidence.
There will also be free interactive training sessions at the London Show, based on our best-selling one day course, Stepping Inside Dementia. A series of 45-minute sessions will take place at 9.45am, 1pm and 4pm. Again, you can sign up at the Alzheimer’s Society’s stand number F10.
In addition, two of our advisors will be joining the End-of-Life speaking panel alongside Marie Curie Information and Support Line officers for specific information about the end stages of dementia. It may be a taboo subject for many, but it’s a chance to learn more about the latter stages of the condition and what to expect.
The Alzheimer’s Show is now in its fifth year and is the UK’s leading event for dementia help, offering practical advice, information, products and services and advice to everyone affected by dementia.
The Show offers a unique opportunity to speak to experts under one roof. It takes place from 9.30am to 5pm on Friday 9th June and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday 10th June at London Olympia. It also takes place at EventCity Manchester on Friday 23rd June from 10am to 5pm and Saturday 24th June from 10am to 4pm. Alzheimer’s Society supporters can obtain discounted daily tickets for £10 each (usually £15) or £7.50 concessions, using code ASOC50 on the Alzheimer’s Show’s website.
