Join us at Mote Park, Maidstone and share an incredible day with others who understand how it feels to be affected by dementia.

Meeting point

Maidstone Memory Walk will start and finish next to the event car park in the field across from the cafe. Please note, this area is on grass. Find us using the postcode ME15 7RN, alternatively enter ///goat.bless.expose into the What3Words App.

Travel information

Event Parking is available free of charge at Mote Park through the Leisure Centre. Please use postcode ME15 7RN and follow signs for Memory Walk on approach to the venue.

Please arrive in good time to avoid queues, and note that parking is on grass.

City centre parking is also available and Maidstone rail station is a 2km walk away. Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible. 

Route

To make sure everyone's included there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.

A shorter 2.5km route is a gentle stroll around the park and lake, which is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all ages and abilities.

The longer 5km route is a little more challenging, and will take you around the park and lake, as well as through woodland. This route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the nature of the pathways.

Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.

Accessibility

The meeting point and car parks are on grass. The short route is on paved paths and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance. There is dedicated event parking available, please make stewards aware on arrival if you need an accessible parking space.
