The difference your gift could make

Dementia is not a natural part of ageing; it is caused by diseases of the brain and robs people of their lives.

By leaving us a gift in your Will we can continue transforming the lives of people living with dementia.

Your gift can bring expert care, support and advice, to help people live the best life possible for as long as possible. Your gift can also bring hope - because we are carrying out vital research that could one day lead to a cure.

Supporting people today

Each year we help people through services like our helpline, publications and website, including Talking Point, our online support forum. Our nationwide network of services provide support groups, day and home care services, befriending schemes and local helplines.

A gift in your Will could offer a lifeline of support to people with dementia and their families, helping them to cope with the problems that dementia can bring.

'We grew from a position where we felt isolated and alone to one where we felt wonderfully connected.

When the end came, very suddenly, I found myself still part of a loving and compassionate community.'

Finding a cure for tomorrow

For everyone who supports the Alzheimer's Society, finding a cure is something to hope and strive for.

The promise of one day finding a vaccine is a ray of hope for everyone affected by dementia. We've made many life changing discoveries, but a gift in your Will could help us make that final breakthrough.

Over a decade ago, the first researcher in the world to discover a gene for Alzheimer's disease was funded by the Society.

A recent legacy funded a research project that involved over 160 doctors, 40 practice nurses, 800 people with dementia and 400 carers. The research looked at ways to improve the diagnosis of dementia and was one of our highest profile and most important research projects yet - all made possible by a legacy.

Much of our research is funded by small gifts, which are just as important. Leave a legacy and you will help us lead the fight against dementia.
