Join with us and unite across the emergency services in the fight against dementia

Dementia is one of the greatest challenges we face in society today. All organisations can contribute to tackling the social and economic impact of dementia, from the Police to Fire and Rescue and our Ambulance services, our emergency services have a part to play.

We want to make a difference to the lives of people with dementia and their carers by working with businesses and organisations to support them to become more dementia-friendly. We have been working with The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC), the National Fire Chief’s Council (NFCC) and the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE), who have all joined together to sign the Emergency Services Strategic Commitment on dementia.

This work will build on the existing dementia friendly policies and procedures and compliments the new dementia friendly business guide.
