What is engagement and participation?

The Prime Minister's Challenge Group on Dementia

Engagement and participation is about how we actively engage people affected by dementia in influencing all aspects of the Society's work and the wider health and social care environment.

It’s also referred to as service user involvement and this involvement is for people with dementia, carers and support partners.

Why is it important?

We want people affected by dementia to be at the heart of everything we do and this is key to our strategy.
