Every day we hear examples of people with dementia, carers, volunteers, professionals, fundraisers and others in the wider community, who've made a real difference to the lives of people with dementia. Nominations are open now for this year's Dementia Friendly Awards, in their 4th year, they will curate the best and most inspiring of them and give them the recognition that they truly deserve.
This year there are 13 awards, select an award to read about the nomination criteria:

- Dementia Innovation
- Young Persons Contribution of the Year
- Journalist of the Year
- Dementia Friends Champion of the Year
- Dementia Friendly Organisation of the Year
- Small and Medium
- Fundraiser of the Year - NEW
- Inspiring Individual 2017
Uniting Against Dementia - Outstanding Contribution 2017
Presented to an individual, team or organisation in recognition of their outstanding contribution to improving the lives of those affected by dementia. No separate entry required, this award will be selected by judges who are all affected by dementia, from the shortlisted entries.
Nominations for the England and Wales awards are now closed - the finalists will be announced at the end of September.
Nominations for the Northern Ireland awards are now closed - the finalists will be annouced at the end of September.
Nominations will be judged by people affected by dementia and industry experts.
There will be three finalists per award. Finalists will be invited to attend the awards ceremony taking place at:
Northern Ireland - Tuesday 28th November - Europa Hotel, Belfast
England and Wales - Wednesday 29th November - etc.venues County Hall, London
