It took two years for Nick to get his diagnosis of dementia. He was misdiagnosed with depression and prescribed medication that made no difference to his condition whatsoever.

With the wrong diagnosis, Nick and his wife June were unable to access vital support and services and were left to fend for themselves.

Nick and June's story is all too common, too many people are having to wait too long to see a dementia specialist at a memory clinic and then too many people are given the wrong diagnosis when they do.

Our Right to Know campaign aims to address this.
