Why do it?
Organising a coffee morning or tea party is a great way to catch up with friends, family or colleagues while playing your part to support people affected by dementia.
Invite your guests, drink coffee, and eat cake, all while raising money to support the fight against dementia - it couldn't be easier. Or why not raise money doing what we do best, by drinking tea! Take inspiration from Alice and Wonderland and throw a tea party your guests will remember.
Your fundraising will help us to continue our vital work to support people living with dementia and those who care for them.
How to get started
- Set a time and place. Make sure to give your guests enough notice -- ideally at least two weeks.
- Source refreshments and snacks. You can hardly have a tea party without cake and biscuits. Buy in bulk from you local supermarket, or you could even make your own if there’s enough time.
- Spread the word. Make your own poster, put up flyers, advertise in your local newspaper or simply tell all your friends and colleagues. If you are involved in a group or association get them involved too.
- Enjoy! Once the preparation is out of the way you can sit back and enjoy the coffee (or tea)!
