Memory loss

Memory loss is a distressing part of dementia - not only for the person with dementia, but also for those around them. But if you're caring for someone with dementia, there's plenty you can do to help them cope with memory problems, so that they can retain their confidence and independence for as long as possible.

For further guidance see Factsheet 526, Coping with memory loss and the Worried about your memory? booklet.
