Restlessness

People with dementia may suffer from general restlessness, which might be shown through pacing or fidgetting. This could be due to hunger, boredom, stress, needing the toilet, or a number of other factors.

For information on how to help someone who seems restless, see Factsheet 525, Unusual behaviour.
