Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal feeling that everyone experiences now and again. However, in some people the feelings can be very strong and persistent and may interfere with everyday life. Anxiety is more common in people with dementia than people without dementia.

For information about how anxiety can affect people with dementia and how it may be treated, see Factsheet 444, Depression and anxiety.
