Letting go

You are likely to feel a strong sense of loss after the person you are caring for dies or goes into long-term care, but the time will come when you are ready to re-establish your own life and move forward. Remember that it takes time to adjust, and the length of time will vary from person to person.

For more information about getting back on your feet, see Factsheet 507, Grief and bereavement.
