Alzheimer's Society, the UK 's leading dementia support and research charity, is delighted to be BUPA's nominated charity for the 2010 BUPA Great Run Series, which includes the world's largest half marathon. We are looking for a Press and Celebrity Officer to join a busy and dynamic press team.
We need an experienced PR professional to manage and execute a creative PR plan for this fundraising partnership. You will be responsible for developing tailored media plans for races throughout the year; liaising with the media; recruiting and supporting celebrity runners and delivering media coverage before the event and on the day.
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a PR capacity, ideally with experience of working with celebrities and their agents. You'll have a proven track record in excellent organisational skills; show a creative flair and demonstrate the ability to come up with exciting and newsworthy media campaigns.
