Salary:£15,696 per annum pro rata
Actual:£10,762 per annum
24 hours per week

6 Months fixed term contract

Alzheimer's Society is the leading care and research charity for people with any form of dementia, their carers and families.  Dementia affects over 700,000 people in the UK alone and numbers continue to grow.

The Southend & District Branch of the Alzheimer's Society would like to appoint a Leisure and Well-Being Worker to support people with dementia by offering them opportunities to participate in leisure activities of their choice.  You must have an understanding of the issues affecting people with dementia and their carers.

An ability to travel independently around the area is essential.  The post will involve working in people's homes or in a range of community settings.  Therefore, a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure will be required.
