Volunteer: Occasional Fundraiser - Llandrindod Wells, Newtown & Welshpool

How does this role make a difference?

Community fundraising is at the very centre of how we raise vital funds at a local level.  Money raised funds the delivery of universal services that include our website and National Dementia Helpline, as well as local services such as Memory Cafes and Singing for the Brain.  It also helps fund research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia and our campaigning work.

How much time will I need to give?

This role is aimed at people who may only have a small amount of time to give.  Dates and times will vary depending on the location but will be between March and June 2013.

What will I be doing?

You will be part of a team that respond to collections in high streets, local supermarkets and theatres.

What support will I get and what experience is required?

Alzheimer's Society is committed to supporting volunteers in whichever role is carried out.  For this role, you will be supported by the Community Fundraising Team.  No qualifications or experience are required.
