Where is it you want me to volunteer?

This role is based at Sunrise, Russell Hill Road, Purley, Surrey, CR8 2LF.

What will I be doing?

At the Peer support group you will be talking and listening to people with dementia in a sensitive and supportive way.  Being aware of practical and emotional needs, referring more complex issues to the Dementia Support Worker.  Providing support and encouraging people to share their experiences for the benefit of themselves and/or the wider group, as appropriate.  Assisting with the serving of food and refreshments where this is relevant to the activity.  Joining in with social activities that benefit the individual and/or the group.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

We are looking for a volunteer who can make a regular commitment to The Peer Support group which runs once a month from 11.00 to 2.00pm on the last Tuesday of every month.
