Where is it you want me to volunteer?

At one or more of the Five Forget-me-not cafés these are currently based in Altofts, Castleford, Kettlethorpe, Ossett and Pontefract.

What will I be doing?

Music therapy is seen to be beneficial to people living with dementia, helping with communication and social interaction and encouraging positive emotions and moods.

Volunteer singers and/or musicians would be entertaining clients and encouraging movement to the music and joining in through sing along sessions to stimulate their musical memories. 

How much time do you expect me to commit?

This role is linked to the opening times of the cafés, each café runs once a month between 1pm and 3pm, on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
