Volunteer: Information Support Volunteers, Wakefield & Five Towns
It is essential that we ensure the information on our services is highly visible and readily available to those who need it. Our Information Support volunteers enable us to do this.
Where is it you want me to volunteer?
This is flexible, it could be within the immediate area of your home or workplace; or an agreed area; or based at our Wakefield office.
What will I be doing?
Our Information Support Volunteer role involves promoting the services of Alzheimer's Society locally, through provision of information, this could involve:
- Designing and printing leaflets and posters which promote our services;
- Distributing leaflets and posters about dementia and our services to GP surgeries, libraries and other venues.
- Attending events and groups to promote local activities.
- Supporting on information stands at events
- Delivering short awareness talks to external organisations.
We welcome volunteers who are interested in part or the whole of this role. Induction, support and training is provided.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
This is flexible, dependent on the geographical area and scope of the individual’s role.
