Where is it you want me to volunteer?

We have an Information Pod in the Civic Building in Barnsley Town Centre, you would be based here or at our offices on Doncaster Road near the city centre.

What will I be doing?

We are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to promote our services to the people of Barnsley. You would be helping the Alzheimer's society staff give information to the public; this would involve talking to people, giving out leaflets, and explaining what services the society can provide.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

The Pod is currently open on Monday and Friday for a couple  of hours,  usually in the morning, and we would ask you to help out at least once a fortnight on either day, though you could of course do more. As the service expands, there may be scope to volunteer other days of the week.
