Volunteer: Support Service volunteer, Life after diagnosis- Sutton


Where is it you want me to volunteer?

This role is based at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Carshalton Beeches, SM5 4NP.


What will I be doing?

Life after diagnosis is training sessions for people who have just received a diagnosis of dementia to gain strategies, coping techniques and help coping day to day. The role of the volunteer will be to welcome clients, assist with refreshments and help the Dementia Support worker with the sessions.


How much time do you expect me to commit?

We are looking for volunteers who can make a regular commitment to the role on the following weekly sessions:

Friday 25th January, Friday 1st February, Friday 8th February and Friday 15th February from 10.00 to 1.00pm.

We have other sessions running on Friday 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th April from 10.0 to 1.00pm and Friday 5th July, 12th, 19th and 26th July from 10.00 to 1.00pm
