Volunteer: Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer, Ledbury

Singing for the Brain is a relaxed musical activity group, led by a singing leader. The sessions use music and song to help stimulate memories, help develop articulation, focus and motivation in a structured but fun environment.  These popular sessions are attended by people with dementia and their carers.

Where is it you want me to volunteer?

Ledbury, Herefordshire

What will I be doing?

Volunteers are needed to help set up the venue, provide refreshments and to meet and greet those attending, providing a warm welcome. Our volunteers join in with the singing session, supporting others to take part as much or as little as they wish. For those volunteers who feel confident with singing, it's great to have some volunteer support with leading rounds occasionally.

The role may be ideal for you if you have experience and an interest of music and movement and enjoy meeting and interacting with people.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

Ideally 2 hours a fortnight, from 1.45pm - 3.45pm on alternate Wednesday afternoons.
