Volunteer: Memory Walk Volunteers, plymouth

Where is it you want me to volunteer?

The Memory Walk will be based in Plymouth but the venue has yet to be decided. Most of the preparation will be done either at the volunteers home or at the office in Milehouse.

What will I be doing?

We're looking for volunteers to help organise Plymouth Memory Walk in September 2013. The walk was a great success in 2012 thanks to the support of many volunteers both before and during the walk, but this year we want it to be even bigger and better! This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy organising activities, getting involved in supporting Alzheimer's Society and meeting new people. We are looking for volunteers who can help with a variety of roles including:

Helping to recruit other Memory Walk volunteers
Leading the group who are organising the walk
Attending meetings to organise the walk route, activities and volunteers
Arranging entertainment and activities for the walk
Promoting the Memory Walk and register walkers
Helping on the day (e.g. setting up, registering walkers, marshalling or serving refreshments)

How much time do you expect me to commit?

This role is flexible, volunteers can give as little or as much time as they choose.
