Volunteers are vital to Alzheimer's Society goal of improving the lives of people living with dementia. The recruitment of a diverse range of volunteers to fulfil current and future services is essential for the ongoing and increased support to people with dementia and their families.
Where is it you want me to volunteer?
Throughout Worcestershire, either flexibly from home, or from our Kidderminster or Worcester office.
What will I be doing?
The Volunteer Recruiter will lead on recruiting volunteers for our services in their local area. This will involve:
- Understanding the volunteer recruitment needs for the area
- Maintaining a good contact and relationship with the local volunteer centre
- Building local relationships with other potential organisations, support agencies, colleges
- Distributing posters and flyers to promote the volunteering opportunities
- Promoting our volunteering opportunities at volunteer recruitment fairs
How much time do you expect me to commit?
The role is flexible - ideally 2-3 hours a week.
