What will I be doing?

Volunteer Drivers are essential for enabling local people with dementia and carers to access the support and information provided for them within Alzheimer's Society services.

Volunteer Drivers are needed to collect people with dementia, carers and volunteers from their homes and to transport them safely to the service. They are then needed to return people to their homes afterwards.

Volunteer Drivers will need to complete an enhanced CRB (Alzheimer's Society will meet the cost) and have a valid MOT certificate and business insurance (Alzheimer's Society will meet the cost).

Volunteer Drivers will be entitled to the reimbursement of their travel and out of pocket expenses.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

Drivers are needed to pick up and return people with dementia, carers and volunteers to Alzheimer's Society services. The Redruth Service runs from 2pm - 4pm every other Wednesday and the Truro service runs from 2pm - 4pm every Tuesday.
