What will I be doing?
Memory Café's provide support, information, a listening ear and fun for people with dementia and carers in Plymouth .
Memory Café Volunteers are needed at our Plymstock Memory Cafe to record the names of those who attend the café, to make and distribute refreshments, to plan, organise and lead quizzes, activities and games and most importantly to talk to, support and encourage people with dementia and carers who attend.
Although all of the above tasks need to be completed Alzheimer's Society is extremely keen to play to people's strengths. Therefore not all volunteers have to complete all tasks. However, we do especially need volunteers to plan, organise and lead quizzes, activities and games.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
Plymstock Memory Café meets every other Wednesday from 2pm - 4pm.
