Volunteer: Singing for the Brain Supporter, Bracknell

Where would I be volunteering?

Bracknell, Berkshire

What will I be doing?

Singing for the Brain is an innovative activity providing musical stimulation for people with dementia and their families and carers. Volunteers meet and greet clients, keep records of attendees, make and serve tea/coffee and biscuits, support the group leader by handing out song books and encouraging participation, and clearing up at the end of the session. Volunteers will also help with setting out the room so some lifting may be required.

No musical skills are required. Volunteers should be friendly, patient and reliable with some understanding of dementia and how it affects people

How much time will I have to commit?

Ideally, a few hours each week. Bracknell Singing for the Brain meets ever Monday morning during the school term.
