At our office in the centre of Maidenhead
What will I be doing?
The Maidenhead Activity Group meets weekly to provide interesting activities and social support for people with early stage dementia. Volunteers chat to clients and make sure everyone feel welcome. They also help organise activities and games, make and serve drinks and refreshments and help clear up afterwards.
No special qualifications are needed and volunteers should be caring, patient and reliable and have an understanding of dementia and how it affects people.
How much time will I have to commit?
Ideally a few hours a week. The Activity Group meets every Monday from 10.00 to 2.00.
