Volunteer: Campaign group volunteer- Kent and Medway
Where is it you want me to volunteer?
We are establishing a new group for Kent and Medway to raise awareness of dementia and campaign for a fairer deal for all those affected by the condition.
What will I be doing?
As a campaign group volunteer you will help us to carry out a wide range of campaigning activities at a local level, depending on individual interests. Tasks may include:
- Distributing leaflets, writing letters, drafting press releases, attending events and/or meetings.
- Communicating and engaging with different audiences - the general public, health professionals, MPs, councillors, Primary Care Trusts and partner organisations.
What skills do I need?
No previous experience in campaigning is necessary – we are looking for people who are committed, driven and have good communication skills.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
The campaign volunteer role is flexible, but ideally a few hours a month. You will also need to be in contact with your group leader and be available for monthly meetings.
