How does this role make a difference?
In order to expand the work of the Society, so that even more people with dementia and their carers can be helped and supported, we need to raise funds. By joining the local Volunteer Fundraising group in the Leeds area, and assisting with its fundraising activities, you will be making a valuable contribution towards achieving this aim.
How much time will I need to give?
This role is flexible but you will need to attend Group meetings and spend time planning and organising events. This will vary depending on the number of fundraising events planned.
What support will I get and what will I be doing?
Alzheimer's Society is committed to supporting volunteers in whichever role is carried out. For this role, you will be supported by the Fundraising Team. With their support you will be:
- Assisting with supporting and recruiting new members for the group.
- Contributing to the fundraising plan and suggesting new fundraising ideas.
- Planning fundraising events and assigning tasks amongst group members.
- Handling cash and banking in accordance with the Society's procedures.
