Volunteer: Memory Walk, Foyle
How does this role make a difference?
The Memory Walk is Alzheimer's Society's annual flaship fundraising event with local walks taking place all over the country. All funds raised will be used to support services for people with dementia and their families. This role is essential to ensure the success of the event.
What will I be doing?
In this role you will be supporting a local Memory Walk during September -on the day and through appropriate updates/ briefings in the run up to the event. You will be required to assist with activities on the day, as agreed, which could include setting up and dismantling the site, acting as an information point, registering and helping walkers, distributing information packs, marshalling, helping to run stalls and refreshment areas.
Where will I be volunteering?
The Foyle Area, location to be confirmed for September 2013
How much time will I have to commit?
You may need to help with some organisation in the run-up to the event, although hours for this are flexible and some work can be done from home. You will also need to be available on the day of the Memory Walk.
