Volunteer: Befriender, Monmouthshire
Where is it you want me to volunteer?
The Society has various opportunities available in your local community.
What will I be doing?
Volunteer befrienders support people living with dementia in the local community. This involves companionship for a person in the early stages of dementia, helping them to take part in social and recreational activities. Your support will help to significantly improve their well-being whilst reducing the risk of isolation so often experienced by people living with dementia. We recognise that people have busy and diverse lives, so we offer a good package of support, supervision and where needed , a reference about your volunteering with us.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
This role is flexible and can also take place outside of normal working hours.
