Volunteer : Support Worker, Llantwit Major

How does this role make a difference?

Based in Llantwit Major, Vale Of Glamorgan you will meet and greet, making sure that everyone feels welcome, make tea and coffee and spend time listening and talking to people with dementia, their carers and families.

How much time will I need to give?

Ideally, the first Tuesday of every month from 2pm to 4pm.

What support do I get and what experience is required?

Alzheimer's Society is committed to supporting volunteers in whichever role is carried out.  For this role, you will be supported by the local dementia support worker.  No special qualifications or experience are needed although a basic understanding of dementia would be preferred.
