Volunteer: Support Worker, Cardiff

How does this role make a difference?

Based in Canton, Cardiff you will meet and greet, making sure that everyone feels welcome, make tea and coffee and spend time listening and talking to people with dementia, their carers and families.

How much time will I need to give?

Ideally Friday's from 10am to Midday.

What support do I get and what experience is required?

Alzheimer's Society is committed to supporting volunteers in whichever role is carried out.  For this role, you will be supported by the local dementia support worker.  No special qualifications or experience are needed although a basic understanding of dementia would be preferred. You should also be able to get to Canton, Cardiff on a weekly basis.
