How does this role make a difference?

The support services volunteer role is essential in assisting staff.  You will meet and greet, making sure that everyone feels welcome, make tea and coffee and spend time listening and talking to people with dementia, their carers and families, and encouraging them to engage in various activities.

To be arranged, depending on your availability

What support do I get and what experience is required?

Alzheimer's Society is committed to supporting volunteers in whichever role is carried out.  For this role, you will be supported by the local dementia support worker.  No special qualifications or experience are needed.
