Volunteer: Freetime Volunteer, Merthyr Tydfil
How does this role make a difference?
The Freetime volunteer role is essential in assisting staff. You will meet and greet, making sure that everyone feels welcome and spend time helping people with dementia and their carers to enjoy the various activities available - including things like bingo, puzzles, board games and quizzes.
How much time will I need to give?
Freetime is every Wednesday from 10.30 - 12.30 at Rhydycar Leisure Centre, Merthyr Tydfil.
What support do I get and what experience is required?
Alzheimer's Society is committed to supporting volunteers in whichever role is carried out. For this role, you will be supported by the local dementia support worker. No special qualifications or experience are needed.
