Volunteer: Memory cafes and activity groups, Scunthorpe, Brigg and Crowle

Where is it you want me to volunteer?

At any of our memory cafes or musical cafes in Brigg, Crowle or Scunthorpe.

What will I be doing?

Friendly and sociable people are required to assist our dementia support worker with our informal social groups for people with dementia and their carers. You will help people with dementia to reduce their sense of isolation and improve their well-being by chatting and listening to them, joining in with activities, encouraging participation and making/serving refreshments.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

Brigg memory cafe is held monthly on the last Wednesday of the month, from 1.30pm-3.30pm, St Mary's Catholic Church, Barnard Ave, Brigg.

Crowle Tea Dance is on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 2.30-4.30pm at Crowle Community Hall.

Scunthorpe memory cafe is on the 1st Friday of the month, 10-12 noon at the Baptist Church, Scunthorpe.

Musical Memory cafe featuring Lost Chord is on 4th Friday of the month, 10-12 at the Baptist Church, Scunthorpe.
