Where is it you want me to volunteer?
This essential new support group for people with dementia and their carers will take place at The Maple Centre, 6 Oak Drive, Huntingdon PE29 7HN
What will I be doing?
You will be welcoming people with dementia and their carers to the new support group. You will help staff to provide information, serve refreshments, engage in supportive discussions and conversations and generally ensure people with dementia and their carers have a great time within a caring and safe environment. You will encourage people to share their experiences and, importantly, useful sources of support. There may also be opportunities to help with social activities too.
If you have a welcoming, compassionate and supportive attitude, and can demonstrate empathy, this could be a perfect role for you.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
We are looking for 2 hours Support.
