Where is it you want me to volunteer?
We are opening two new support groups for people with dementia which will take place at The Pines, Gloucester Centre, Orton Longueville PE2 7JU
What will I be doing?
You will be welcoming people with dementia to the new support group. You will help staff to provide information, serve refreshments, engage in supportive discussions and conversations and generally ensure people with dementia get the most out of the group within a caring and safe environment. You will encourage people to share their experiences and, importantly, useful sources of support. There may also be opportunities to help with social activities too.
If you have a welcoming, compassionate and supportive attitude, and can demonstrate empathy, this could be a perfect role for you.
How much time do you expect me to commit?
We are looking for volunteers to cover 2 Hours for each session on Monday a.m. and p.m. and Tuesday a.m. and p.m.
