Volunteer: Befriender, Bath

Where is it you want me to volunteer?

Befriending locations will be in locations across Bath

What will I be doing?

Volunteer Befrienders support people with dementia in the local community, usually within their own homes. This involves companionship for a person with early-stage dementia, helping the individual to take part in social and recreational activities. Your involvement will help to significantly improve well-being and help to reduce the isolation so often experienced by people with dementia.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

Volunteer Befrienders can give as little or as much time as they wish. However, befrienders do need to visit a person with dementia on a regular basis (perhaps a few hours each week or fortnight).
