Where is it you want me to volunteer?
There are a number of volunteering opportunities available across the Knowsley area.

- Reading Group - Knowsley Carers' Centre, Bewley Drive, Kirkby, L32 9PE
- Art Group - Prescot Library
- Dance Group - Knowsley Leisure Centre
- Music Group - Centre 63 Youth Centre
What will I be doing?
The Support Services volunteer role is essential to support staff and to stimulate and engage with people with dementia during groups and day activities. In this role you will ensure that group participants feel comfortable and are able to participate.
Examples of the activities you will undertake are:
- talking and listening to people with dementia and their carers in a sensitive and supportive way;
- providing basic information, including fact sheets and similar Society materials;
- joining in with social activities that benefit the individual and/or the group (for example, board games, art and crafts etc) as well as making and distributing refreshments.
- join in a group reading/listening to a short story, poem or article and sharing reactions and ideas.

How much time do you expect me to commit?
Minimum commitment is two hours a month.
