Volunteer: Fundraising Group Volunteer, Worcestershire

In order to expand the work of the Alzheimer's Society, so that even more people with dementia and their carers can be helped and supported, we need to raise funds. By joining the local volunteer fundraising group in Worcestershire and assisting with its fundraising activities, you will be making a valuable contribution towards achieving this aim.

Where is it you want me to volunteer?

At various fundraising events throughout Worcestershire.

Regular Fundraising planning meetings will be held at an agreed location in the county, the most convenient for our Fundraising Group volunteers. Ideally we would like to develop a Fundraising group in North Worcestershire and another Fundraising group on South Worcestershire.

What will I be doing?

Our Fundraising Group volunteers contribute ideas to our fundraising plan, and work as part of team to organise and / or support at different fundraising events. The role involves handling cash donations, in accordance with Society rules. It's a great volunteering opportunity if you are enthusiastic about charity fundraising within the local community and enjoy being part of a team to see a creative idea turn into action.

How much time do you expect me to commit?

The role is very flexible - you can support on a regular basis each month or a few times a year.
