How does this role make a difference?
The Memory Walk is Alzheimer's Society annual flagship event with local walks taking place all over the country. All funds raised will be used to support services for people with dementia and their families. The role is essential to ensure the success of the event.
What will I be doing?
The role will involve regular project team planning meetings and supporting the team, you will be involved in planning the walk, providing coordination and leadership in the run up to the event and on the day, helping with coordinating the donation of raffle prizes or leading a group of walk marshals, helping to recruit and support walking volunteers for the event, helping to promote the walk and participation of walkers as well as ensuring all activities take place in a safe way.
How much time will I have to commit?
You will need to help with some organization in the run up to the event, although hours are flexible and some work can be done from home. You will also need to be available on the day of the Memory Walk.
